Just under decade ago, Mark and his wife Esther embarked on a dream to have a restaurant of there own. Well not bad going at all, a full deer sold in 5 days, every last bit we received was used, bones for stock, shoulders for stunning pie, loins and haunch used for roasting and trim has been minced ready to go into game terrine. Thanks again to @dmbutchers for sourcing and thanks to all the customers for ordering. Hopefully it won’t be long before we get another one through the doors.

Meet Erin 👋 Erin has recently joined Le caveau learning the ropes in the kitchen as an apprentice, splitting her time learning under Mark & at Craven Collage, but mostly with Mark. Although only been with us a few weeks she is already putting her stamp on the Menu. If you are joining us this Saturday evening we will be showcasing one of Erin's dishes on our special board, smoked salmon and homemade ricotta arancini, with a pea purée and a lemon emulsion So if you are visiting make sure to give Erin a warm Le Cavaeu welcome and a good look for her ongoing apprenticeship. Just a quick apology for being quiet on the socials this month. It’s been a busy one with the family, the restaurant and sorting out a new manager. We are all sorted now and looking forward to September when things are back to normal. We’re closed from August 27th and reopen in the evenings on Thursday 7th September with a new set of menus and we are back to lunch service the week after.

We have had a cancellation for our August wine tasting Event a table of up to 4 people now available. These are very sort after and very rarely have space on these nights. Saturday 26th August 6 courses, 6 wines, arrival drink and canapés. £85pp Photos from previous events !!!!

Just a reminder we’re closed over lunch times throughout August our normal service resumes in September when our new front of house manager starts in September.
